John,

I am a loyal reader of most if not all your works. Eye of the storm is by far the best book of them all. Please, I beg of you to let us know if and when the next in the series will be released.

The Hedren war has so much potential, with a great mix of science fiction, fantasy and good old American warrior spirit. Former enemies as allies, former oppressors as servants etc... So please take let us know!

Loyal reader,

Andrew

As much as I'm digging the Troy Rising series I really want John to get back to the Legacy of Aldenata. I read Eye of the Storm as an ARC, bought the hardcover, and then just today bought the paperback and started reading again. I want more of the Hedren War. And if you pay attention there is an even greater Enemy alluded to by the Himmit elders.

JOHN! Where's the next book! I am having such a hard time deciding if I want the next Aldenata book or the next Troy book. How about both! Please, please, please.

I'd settle for a book from any series :) they are all good. Just have to be patient. And when one does come out, usually another one or two quickly follow. It's just the droughts between the floods you have to suffer through... Fortunately, there are over 30 old books you can keep re-reading giving you enough variety to hold you over

Yea, but the problem is that if you start another series...that one won`t be finished either. Right now I`m into the Aldenata series and the Looking Glass series, both of which have huge potential but both of which have been left hanging. I don`t want to start another Ringo series, lest it be left hanging as well...

I would like another book in this as well. I know I have already asked for more books for the Into the looking glass and Paladin of Shadows series as well, but those two as well as Troy Rising and this series are my favorite series from you Mr. Ringo. I enjoy these series and am yet again just bringing light to the fact there is interest in continuing the series. I can wait patiently for them as long as I know there are more planned. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

I have been reading all my Ringo novels back to back per series... Finished ghost and looking glass and finally made it to Eye of the storm for the second or third time.

I can not wait for Mr. Ringo to release the next in line.... Guess it will be Travis Taylor's stuff next since I love his other novels (read #3 I think ;) )

BOught the new David Weber arc, the story with Stephanie Harrington was a repeat from a previous book, so spent $15 on a short story

Hi John, I've been a fan of yours for years and enjoy your books immensely. The downside to this is of course that as soon as I finish a book I look for another of yours to read. Sorry but it has to be said that John you are not writing fast enough. For example, the Looking Glass series is uncompleted bas of 2008. When are you going to write another in this series? "Eye of the Storm" another fantastic book and iirc out in July 2009. Now into 2012 and still no news of the sequel. When are you going to write another? "Hot Gate" published in hardcover in May 2011 so a good nine months has passed and still no news as to what great books are on the horizon. So for all your loyal fans John, please tell us what we can expect to see published in 2012.

I wish I could just write stuff and have it be any good. But if you want it good, you have to wait until I've got the jones. And I've never figured out a way to force it.

See also: Finally came up with a plan for the next March book. Only took TEN YEARS.
:-)

The sequels are sort of ideated and I know some of the scenes. Best I can do. That does not a book make.

I've been waiting for the next honnor harrington and found a hymn before battle and have burned through that series in the last couple of months and have just totally enjoyed eye of the storm, But hell, those ss guys have been sitting on the planet for 3 years now.
I only have the hero to go now and I will have to look for a new series to read and that will be even more frustrating as they all end up with a cliffhanger and waiting years.
It's your own fault for writing such gripping series.
Thanks in advance for the next one, and the one after that as well. If you don't finish with no lose ends then you can't complain that we all want to find out what happens next.

A short story collection might be a good idea, to fill in the holes, or add side content

A loooong time back, when John and David Weber were both in Mass., I got a chance to meet with John at a bookstore in Cambridge. The evening was spent with folks regaling each other with stories of different things. One of the conversations with John indicated that at some point he had a story arc whereby Mike was leading Posleen in the defence of Washington D.C. against another invading force. Mind you, this took place many years ago, sometime around 2009/2010 back prior to "Eye of the Storm" . So...yeah. Patience. I'd love to see another book re: The Hedren War. Would also love to see another book or three regarding Troy/Hot Gate. Ditto for a follow-up to "Let's go to Prague". (Never happen...but hey...I can DREAM!). The Muse strikes when it strikes. As John as stated in the past, it ain't something he can flick on/off like a light switch. I hold onto that teensy tiny snippet of O'Neil leading Posleen into the teeth of the Malstrome to save DC as a flickering beacon of what is yet to come. YMMV.
